The first season of the series had a total of 6 episodes and most of the scenes were filmed at Kaggeholms guard in Stockholm County and the royal palace scenes were filmed at Stora Sundby Castle. Young Royals Season 2 Release Date
According to a tweet by Netflix, Young Royals Season 2 will be released anytime in 2022 and we expect that the series will premiere by the third quarter of 2022 since the first season of the show will be released on 1st July 2021 on Netflix and the making of the second season has already started. The first season had only six episodes so we expect that the second one will also have the same number of episodes and may not take much time to wrap up production. Young Royals Season 2 Cast
There is no official announcement regarding the complete cast of the upcoming series but we can expect to see Edvin Ryding again in the second season in the role of Prince Wilhelm. The following mentioned names of the characters may also be seen in Young Royals Season 2.

Young Royals Season 2 Plot
Everyone out there wants to know about the storyline that Young Royals Season 2 will be continuing but, before getting into the prospective storyline of season 2 let us take a quick sneak peek into the events happening in the first season.
Following August leaked an intimate clip starring Simon and Wilhelm, the relationship between the two of them unraveled. After this happened, Wilhelm was somehow convinced by his family to revoke his involvement so that he could protect the reputation of his family but in the process of doing so, he also backstabbed Simon. In the finale episode of season one, we saw that Wilhelm asked Simon if they can still get together in a relationship secretly. Since, if anything beyond that happens, the same will hamper the reputation and dignity of the Crown.
Although, doing so isn’t good enough for the sake of Simon and hence he decided to end everything between them, definitely for the better. But in the end, it is very crystal clear that both the teens still share strong and honest feelings for each other. After the sex tape leaked, Linda also decided to shift Sara and Simon from Hillerska due to which Sara is furious. She decides to benefit from her discovery that August leaked the sex tape and also makes a deal due to which he becomes a permanent resident of Hillerska in the exchange of secrecy. The couple still gets involved physically which left much speculation for the second season.
The time when Wilhelm denied his involvement with Simon, he hurt his dignity, and to make him forgive him, he hugs him in public before leaving for Christmas’s Holiday.

In the end, Wilhelm gets to know the fact that August was the one who leaked his sex tape and all thanks to detective work by Felice.
