WBTV – CHARLOTTE, N.C. Three persons, including one minor, have been detained and charged by the police in relation to the gunshot that occurred at Northlake Mall on Thursday afternoon.
A 17-year-old, Jadah Van Williams, 19, and Xavior Grant Alexander, 19, have all been named suspects in the case. Williams and the 17-year-old were both accused of assault, while Alexander was charged with attempted murder and assault with a deadly weapon.

The victims were both men, 24 and 44 years old, per the police report. The 44-year-old guy worked at Prime Jewelers, according to the newspaper.
His wife confirmed to WBTV over the phone that he had been discharged from the hospital and was doing fine. Two persons were hurt in the incident, which took place just before three in the afternoon. According to mall officials, one injured has now been released from the hospital.
The mall remained shut during the rest of Thursday but reopened on Friday. WBTV contacted Northlake Mall to inquire about potential security procedure changes or additions.

Nicole Petranel, a representative for Northlake Mall, said: “Of course, our team will go back, and we’ll look into what has transpired.” “I can’t go into the specifics of our security team, but there is security in front of the mall, a police officer there, and there is always something going on behind the scenes.”
