Friends and family remember Eina Kwon, a restaurant owner who was shot and kἰlled on Tuesday (June 13) at a Seattle intersection, for her generosity.
Those who worked close to Kwon’s sushi restaurant, Aburiya Bento House, referred to her as an “incredible human being.” Kwon’s unborn child also pἀssed away as a result of the trἀgedy. She was also the mother of a 2-year-old kid.
Michael Hoyle, who owns businesses next to Kwon’s restaurant, told local NBC News affiliate KING5-
“She’s been the most selfless, loving person every time we walked by, she’s always coming out here at the same time every morning to put out her sign just like I put out my sign.”
“I’m still kind of in a shell shock. It’s that’s the only word I can use. It’s just, it’s devἀstating.”
Kwon, 34, and her husband, Sung-Hyun Kwon, 37, were stopped at the crossroads when the suspect approached the car’s driver’s side, fired, and fled. Both victims were taken to Harborview Medical Center, where Eina needed immediate surgery to give birth. The infant pἀssed away at the hospital, along with Eina, who had sustained many gμnshot wounds. Sung-Hyun, who had his arm shot, made it through his injuries.
Goosby was charged on Friday with first-degree mμrder with a firearm enhancement and attempted first-degree mμrder with a firearm enhancement. He is presently being held at King County Jail.

A friend and regular customer of Aburiya Bento House named Kim Ramirez told KING5 that she regarded the Kwons as “family.” Ramirez said-
“They were part of our family, our extended family. And we love them. Really nice people.”
The mother had been looking forward to throwing her young son a birthday party, according to Dong Won, a friend who set up a GoFundMe to assist in bringing Eina Kwon’s family from Korea to the United States for the funeral.
On the GoFundMe page, pal Dong Won said-
“I remember my friend, Eina, was very excited to customize her son’s 3rd birthday cake and planned to have the party. His birthday is coming very soon, just a couple more weeks.”
In a statement, Seattle Mayor Bruce Harrell offered his support and sympathies to the family. He claimed to have spoken with Sung-Hyun on Thursday.
“This trἀgedy is horrific in so many ways — we have lost a mother and unborn child from an act of unprovoked vἰolence. My heart is also with their young child, who will grow up without their mother, and our broader community must process another traumatic, unnecessary incident that leaves our community hurting and incomplete.”
