Even though Peaky Blinders Season 6 has concluded, the saga of Tommy Shelby and his Birmingham gang is far from over. Steven Knight, the show’s creator, announced in 2021 that the end of the Peaky Blinders saga will not occur on television, but rather in a film. “The original idea was scrapped due to Covid’s interference. Still, I’ll admit that it was always my intention to wrap up Peaky with a film “informing Deadline, he said. Indeed, “that is what will transpire.” peaky blinders season 7.

Peaky Blinders Season 7 Filming Will Begin?
The show’s end could be a while in coming. In July, Knight revealed on British radio station Heart FM that he is in the final stages of writing the film’s script. In addition, he confirmed that Birmingham will serve as the film’s location, restating his earlier prediction that shooting would start “within 18 months.”
Studio and location shooting would take place in Birmingham’s Digbeth neighborhood, he stated, as reported by Deadline. It’s like Peaky’s coming home since Digbeth and Small Heath are where the Peaky Blinders lived and worked in real life. Given that schedule, it’s safe to assume that the film won’t be released until 2024 at the earliest, though there have been no announcements to that effect. peaky blinders season 7.

Peaky Blinders Season 7 Storyline
Recent statements from Knight hint that the Peaky Blinders movie may take place in part during WWII, albeit neither the movie’s narrative nor the year it is set in are known as of yet. Knight assured viewers in 2018 that season seven was always planned, with a future eighth season in mind.
He had previously stated, “I always wanted to end it with the first air raid siren in 1939,” indicating his intention to make the drama about a family caught between two wars. Early in 2022, though, he disclosed that his plans had shifted. “I… have broadened its definition. After this point, it will continue through and beyond World War II “Empire, he revealed.
Because, “I just think the energy that is out there in the world for this, I want to keep it continuing, and I want to see how this might go beyond that,” the author writes. When asked to elaborate, he said, “I consider this sixth series to be the climax.”
Peaky Blinders Season 7 Cast
Casting information is as few as that for the film’s narrative, but we do know that Cillian Murphy will reprise his role as Tommy and that Paul Anderson will return as his brother Arthur, according director Steven Knight. When questioned by Digital Spy if the two actors would return to the Peaky universe, he said, “I don’t know “We don’t know enough to make that call just yet. However, I did enjoy the flick.”
Additionally, he said “For the film and whatever comes after, we are already in contact with a large number of people, including several outstanding actors. But I believe that surprise people and breaking new talent is what we aim to achieve. We’re finding really terrific performers from a working-class sort of background and conveying that story because it’s all out there and there is a sort of continuity to it. That’s the goal, anyway.” peaky blinders season 7.

Will There Be Another Season Of Peaky Blinders Season 7
At the BFI London Film Festival in late 2021, Knight stated that the film “will probably be the sort of the end of the road for Peaky Blinders as we know it.” This statement suggests that Knight intends for the film to serve as a final chapter in the series. However, he has also dropped hints that this might not be the final curtain for the Peaky canon.
“What we’re discussing is… Rather than “spin-offs,” as he told BBC News in 2021, he meant “TV series that are going to be influenced by and incorporate characters from Peaky,” with the goal that “other TV programs that I hope will come out of [it],” as he told Variety.
No details have been revealed, but Knight has said that he is likely to delegate writing responsibility for future Peaky-verse projects to someone else. But in January of 2022, he did spill the beans on an unexpected adaption that had been in the works for quite some time.
In September 2022, Knight, in association with Rambert Piece, the Birmingham Hippodrome, and The Lowry, will premiere Peaky Blinders: The Redemption of Thomas Shelby, a dance production set in the Peaky Blinders universe. Benoit Swan Pouffer will be in charge of both the direction and choreography of the production, which is reported to follow “Tommy Shelby and Grace Burgess through their passionate love story.”
