MTG Wants Red And Blue States To Get A “National Divorce”

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, a Republican from Georgia, has a strategy for today, which is Presidents Day.

The Georgia Republican firebrand is not commemorating the birthdays of America’s Founding Fathers, George Washington and Abraham Lincoln, but rather is calling for a “national divorce,” tweeting that red states and blue states ought to separate and go their own separate ways. Also, she is an advocate for the reduction of the size of the federal government.

Greene tweeted-

“We need a national divorce”

“From the sick and disgusting woke culture issues shoved down our throats to the Democrats’ traitorous America Last politics, we are done.”

This isn’t the first time Greene has called for a divorce. She first suggested the idea in 2021. “All possible in a National Divorce scenario,” Greene wrote on Twitter in December 2021. “

“After Democrat voters and big donors ruin a state like California, you would think it wise to stop them from doing it to another great state like Florida. Brainwashed people that move from CA and NY really need a cooling off period.”

Greene’s call for a national split came after a busy morning in which he criticized Vice President Joe Biden for ignoring his responsibilities as president of the United States in order to take a train for ten hours from Poland to the war-torn capital of Ukraine, Kyiv, in order to meet with President Volodymyr Zelensky on the first anniversary of the war with Russia. During a joint news conference, Vice President Biden offered an additional $500 million in military aid and reaffirmed the United States’ “unwavering” support for the ravaged country. This announcement, along with the pledge, did not sit well with Greene and several other Republicans. Howitzers, artillery ammo, and Javelin missiles will be purchased with the money that was allocated. The precise request made by Ukraine for long-range weapons and fighter jets was not addressed by Biden in his comments.

Greene tweeted-

“Today on our President’s Day, Joe Biden, the President of the United States chose Ukraine over America, while forcing the American people to pay for Ukraine’s government and war”

“I can not express how much Americans hate Joe Biden”

Greene was also insulted by Zelensky, who opted not to “wear a tie as he greets the President of the United States.”

She added-

“He gladly takes our money in sweatshirts and t-shirts, but Biden is dressed up,”  “So insulting.”
