Multiple reports say that Kaleb Boateng, a former offensive lineman for the Florida Gators, died on Thursday evening. Before he became a walk-on at Florida through the transfer portal, he signed with the Clemson Tigers right out of high school.

Boateng was one of the best offensive linemen in Broward County, Florida, before he went to Clemson in January 2019. There, as a strong offensive tackle for Fort Lauderdale High School, he had a big year in 2018.

He led their offensive line that season with 49 knockdown blocks. The On3 Consensus Rankings said that Boateng was the No. 77 offensive tackle in the country for the 2019 recruiting season.

If you are curious about the other notable deaths that occurred in 2023, you have come to the right place:

Before he chose Clemson, he was one of the most sought-after offensive linemen in the country. He was offered 38 scholarships from schools all over the country. He led Fort Lauderdale High School to a 9-3 record overall in 2018, which was the most wins for the team since 1974.

One of those losses was to St. Thomas Aquinas, which has one of the best football teams in the country and is a national powerhouse. Boateng made the All-Broward County first team in 2018 because he started every game.

In 2017, he led his team with 38 pancake blocks and was named to the All-Broward County second team. During his outstanding high school career, he played four seasons and started three of them. Boateng was 6 feet 4 inches tall, and his wingspan was 80 inches.

Reports say that his last three choices after high school was Maryland, Florida Atlantic, and Arizona, so it was surprising that he chose Clemson. In 2019, he was on the ACC honor roll while playing for the Tigers.

Boateng played for Clemson for two years, playing in five games. He then joined the Florida Gators as a walk-on in 2021. Late Thursday night, a lot of people paid tribute to the former Florida Gator on social media.
