On May 28th, 2021, Hartin was discovered by authorities on a pier close to where Mr. Jemmott’s body had been retrieved.
According to police reports, she was discovered crying and drenched in blood. Mr. Jemmott’s body, which had a bμllet hole in its head, was discovered floating in the ocean near San Pedro, Belize.
Hartin, Andrew Ashcroft, and their two kids were all residing in Belize at the time. She pleaded no contest to a charge of negligent manslaughter and posted bail in the amount of $15,000 (£12,041) in June of 2021.
It was revealed during Hartin’s bail hearing that she and Mr. Jemmott attended the same party on Ambergris Caye the night he was kἰ!!ed.
According to invesʈigators, they strolled along the shoreline before to their pier stop. At that location, Hartin massaged Mr. Jemmott’s shoulders. She was then given his gμn to drop.
Hartin told police that after Mr. Jemmott requested the rifle back, she fumbled with it and it went off inadvertently. She also mentioned that she had been drinking.
The maximum penalty for negligent manslaughter in Belize is five years in prison. Channel 5 Belize reports that the presiding judge in Hartin’s case has suggested he may avoid jail time in exchange for a fine.
