People will want to know more about your life if you are a well-known TV personality. What kind of car you drive, what hair products you use, what your favorite meals, TV shows, and vacation spots are, and, of course, who you’re dating.
This is especially true if people think it’s possible that two people on the same show might like each other. Fans of Gold Rush thought it was possible that Parker Schnabel and Tyler Mahoney could date, but are they? Or have they ever done so?
Is Parker from ‘Gold Rush’ Dating Tyler?
Unless you’re a close friend of one of these TV stars and know something different, there’s nothing online or on-air to suggest that these two have dated or are dating.
Tyler Mahoney is an Australian who grew up in the mining town of Kalgoorlie. He comes from a long line of Australian prospectors.

Even though the young woman has posted pictures of herself and Parker Schnabel working hard together (they went digging for gold in Oz for a 10-episode order of Parker’s Trail: Australia), it doesn’t look like they are dating. Instead, it seems like they are just working together.
People still think that Parker and Tyler might be dating, especially since Parker did a lot to hide his feelings for Ashley Youle while he was on the show. Discovery’s camera operators even made a bet on who would be the first to catch Parker and Ashley kissing while they were on the show.
Also, Parker’s trip to Australia doesn’t look like it will be a one-time thing. As this Reddit post talks about, Parker bought some land in Australia because he wants to look for gold on more than one continent.
According to a Discovery press release (per The Blast) ahead of Gold Rush’s season that aired in 2020 –
“His goal is to bank enough gold to buy new ground and he’s determined not to let the COVID-19 pandemic slow him down.”
The release continued –
“As soon as he can, Parker assembles his crew and doubles down – opening two enormous operations. This season, Parker will rely more than ever on his crew to keep his operation running while he heads out to prospect new ground in Alaska and beyond.'”
But there are no other sources that say for sure if Parker’s really bought land there or not. Could this just be “reality TV magic” where the producers are keeping their options open for a possible “sequel” to Parker’s “Aussie only” season?
Fans thought that if he did buy land in Australia, it would give him even more reason to spend more time with Tyler, which could mean that they have a romantic connection or have time for one to form. Why do so many people care? That’s the real question.
The show is about him digging for gold, and he might be like Jake Johnson in that he just wants his personal life to stay private. People still think he and Tyler are dating, and some news outlets have said that they are.
