A week after Hayden Panettiere’s brother Jansen, who was only 28, died in a terrible accident, his family is talking about his life and what led to his death.
His family, including his famous older sister and his father and mother Skip and Lesley, said in a statement to Fox News Digital –
“Jansen’s heart could be seen in his eyes, and his charm in his brilliant, engaging smile, his soul in his masterful and revealing paintings, and the joy of life in his dry wit.”
“His charisma, warmth, compassion for others, and his creative spirit will live forever in our hearts and in the hearts of all whom he encountered.”
“Though it offers little solace, the Medical Examiner reported Jansen’s sudden passing was due to cardiomegaly (enlarged heart), coupled with aortic valve complications.”

No one knows if Jansen or his family knew about his condition before he died. The police said in a previous report that “there were no obvious signs of trauma.”
The family said –
“We sincerely appreciate the outpouring of love and support towards our family as we navigate this unthinkable loss, and ask that we be gifted our privacy during this time of mourning.”
“We love you so much Jansen and you will be in our hearts forever.”
Fox News Digital (aforementioned) got a copy of the Orangetown Police Department’s first report from the scene. It said that officers went to Jansen’s apartment in Nyack, New York, around 5 p.m. on Sunday, February 19, after getting a report of an “unresponsive male with CPR in progress.”
Benjamin Brown, a friend of Jansen, was giving CPR to the actor, who was lying on his back on the living room floor when the police arrived. People said that Jansen wasn’t breathing and felt cold because he was so angry. At 5:11 p.m., an EMT who had been called said that he was dead.
Jansen was a talented artist and performer, just like his sister. He often shared his work on social media. Jansen had been on “The Walking Dead” in the past few years. The late actor has several projects in the works, according to his IMDB page.
