Spotify has taken down the works of several comedians, including the comedy albums created by Kevin Hart, Tiffany Haddish, John Mulaney, and Patton Oswalt amid Royalties issues.
Kevin Hart, Tiffany Haddish, John Mulaney, and Patton Oswalt have joined the group of several other entertainers who are trying to get the royalties payments over the jokes created by them when played on the streaming services like Spotify, YouTube, Pandora, and more.
A group of Entertainers named The Spoken Giants came together for asking royalties for their work.

The Spoken Giants is a global administration rights company that came into existence in 2019. The company is run and managed by Jim King, a former executive at a music performance rights organization, along with Ryan Biter and Damion Greiman. They are co-founders of the comedy label 800-pound Gorilla as well.
The company is supporting podcast authors, comedians, speechwriters, and other numerous creators of spoken words. Along with the above-mentioned creators, Don Rickles, Bob Hope, and Lucille Ball are some other members of the company.
According to Spoken Giants, there are underlying copyrights in Spoken words like the music and lyrics of the song. The company is supporting the creators so that they can earn more money.
As of now, comedians are paid only for distributors or label or underperformance rights whenever their videos are played on any digital platform.

The royalties in Spoken words will help the comedians to help them get more money for their work.
The talks are going on between Spoken Giants and Spotify. As of now, the comics are getting royalties not for composing them but only for performing them. In the new agreement, the company is demanding royalties for composing it as well as for the creator of that work.
Spotify has sent the agreement to the company on the evening of this Thanksgiving. However, The Spoken Giants and the streaming platform have reached an impasse.
The company said earlier it was not an issue as the area was not well developed and the platforms were not getting much for it. However, nowadays, Spotify helps entertainer to get a substantial audience to have better reach, and streaming service is now collecting good money from their work.
The negotiations are still going on but, Spotify has taken down several materials over the royalty issue.
The performances will not be available on the digital serving until the company and Spotify reach an agreement regarding royalties.
