Luke Combs has been gradually teasing his fans with new music, and his most recent teaser was for the song “Love You Anyway.” The song suggests that even if he had known from the start that his present relationship would ultimately shatter his heart, he would still do it because of how much he loves her.
If it only took one look to convert my days into nights, at least I’d have the stars that twinkle in your eyes, Combs sings in the song, “If your touch broke me like glass/ I’d be in pieces trying to make a breakin’ last.”

Even if I knew the day we met that you’d be the reason this heart breaks, I would still love you. There are simply some things that give a man no option, like a compass needle needing its true north.

Combs had already revealed music from a work recording of this ballad back in 2020, so this isn’t the first time he’s done it. The fourth full-length studio album from Combs, the current Country Music Association artist of the year, will have 18 songs and be released on March 24.

The project comes after his 2022 album Growin’ Up, which was named one of Billboard’s top albums of 2022 and among the year’s best country albums. The upcoming Grammy Awards, to be hosted at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles on February 5, have Growin’ Up up for a best country album.
Combs is also up for a best country song (“Doin’ This,” which he co-wrote with Drew Parker and Robert Williford) and best country duo/group performance for “Outrunnin’ Your Memory” with Miranda Lambert.
