Woody Harrelson, a longtime buddy of Michael J. Fox, and the actor are practically blood siblings. At the 2022 Governors Awards in Los Angeles on Saturday, Harrelson gave Fox the Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award and shared a startling story about meeting the “Back to the Future” actor in Thailand in 1989.

The “Zombieland” actor made fun of the cobras, saying, “He taunted a bunch of them and then he chose the orneriest cobra, grabbed it by the neck, tossed it in a cage with mongoose, where I saw the craziest battle I’ve ever seen between any creatures other than studio executives.”
He added that “drinking the cobra blood is considered ‘becoming brother to the serpent.'” “And the mongoose triumphed. Following his recounting of the amazing incident, Harrelson praised Fox, who was given a Parkinson’s Disease diagnosis in 1991, for transforming “a terrifying prognosis into a daring purpose.”
In order to find a treatment for Parkinson’s disease, the “Casualties of War” star established a foundation in Fox’s honor in 2000 and has already raised more than $1 billion.
According to Harrelson, “He never begged for the position of Parkinson’s advocate, yet it is his best performance.” Michael J. Fox provides the best example of both how to live and how to fight.
