Trump, though, claimed on Sunday that McConnell was to blame for the midterm elections, in part because the Senate GOP’s campaign arm did not invest heavily on Blake Masters’ effort to replace Sen. Mark Kelly (D) in Arizona.
“Mitch McConnell is to blame. It was a tremendous mistake to invest money in Kelly Tshibaka’s campaign against Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R-Alaska) rather than supporting Blake Masters and others, Trump stated in his letter.
