Naz Reid was a 5-star recruit in high school. 247 Sports ranked him as the best power forward in New Jersey and the third-best power forward in the United States. He was also the 22nd-best player in his class.

Reid chose to play college basketball at LSU on September 12, 2017. Reid later said, “What drew me to the school is Coach Wade, (assistant) Coach (Greg) Heiar, all the other coaches.”

Nazreon Hilton Reid is an American pro basketball player for the Minnesota Timberwolves of the National Basketball Association. He was born on August 26, 1999. The college team he played for was the LSU Tigers.

Reid grew up in Asbury Park, New Jersey and went to Roselle Catholic High School. Reid was invited to the 2018 McDonald’s All-American Boys Game after his senior year when he averaged 14.8 points, 7.7 rebounds, and 2.1 blocks per game.

During the 20-minute game, he scored 15 points, got 11 rebounds, had two assists, and blocked one shot. In the NJSIAA Tournament of Champions, Reid scored 22 points to help Roselle Catholic beat Don Bosco Prep.

During high school, he was a part of the Jelly Fam, a movement on the internet that was all about making crazy finger roll layups. He was called “Big Jelly” because he played like a big, flashy guard. He was the only member of the movement who made it to the NBA.
