According to the institution that released the information, during a regular training trip on Wednesday afternoon, a Black Hawk helicopter belonging to the Tennessee National Guard crashed near Huntsville, Alabama. The incident resulted in the deaths of two members of the Tennessee National Guard.
The crash happened around 3 p.m. local time, right off Highway 53 in Madison County. Huntsville Emergency Medical Services told CBS News that the helicopter caught fire when it hit the ground.
On the side of the highway, a cell phone video showed a plume of black smoke rising hundreds of feet into the air. About 10 miles northwest of Huntsville was where the plane went down.

The Tennessee National Guard said in a statement that there were only two guardsmen in the helicopter when it crashed. No one on the ground was hurt. The names of the two people who died were not given right away.
Brig. Gen. Warner Ross, Tennessee’s adjutant general, said in a statement –
“We are deeply saddened by the loss of two Tennessee National Guardsmen, and our prayers are with their families during this heartbreaking tragedy.”
“We ask Tennesseans to join us in supporting their families during this time of unthinkable grief.”
The crash will be looked into by the Federal Aviation Administration and the National Transportation Safety Board.
