On September 24, 2018, NBC premiered Manifest, a supernatural drama series produced by Jeff Rake. It’s about the survivors of a commercial airliner that went missing for five and a half years. Some of the 191 passengers on Montego Air Flight 828 from Jamaica to New York City in 2013 are followed in Manifest.

When they arrived, they learned that everyone on their aircraft had been presumed dead for five and a half years. Production of the show was handled by Jeff Rake. On September 24, 2018, it debuted on NBC, and Rake predicted it would remain in production for six seasons. However, NBC announced in June 2021 that Manifest Season 5 will not be produced.

 Manifest Season 5 Release Date

There were a lot of weird supernatural occurrences after Montego Air Flight 828 reappeared, and viewers found out about them as the show progressed. Flight attendants reported strange phone calls, visions, and passenger health. Although the drama had reached the halfway point of its six-season run with a cliffhanger at the end of Season 3, NBC decided to cancel the premiere of Manifest Season 5.

Many questions were left unresolved for the fans. Initial viewership of Manifest was extremely high, but the show has seen its ratings steadily decline over the years. Production expenses could also have played a role. Expensive to-produce shows that fail to perform well in the ratings often find themselves canceled. Lockdowns and Covid-safe restrictions have halted or reduced the development of TV series, another negative impact of Covid. The reports indicate that there will be no definitive release date for Season 5.

Manifest Season 5 Trailer

Can we expect the fifth season of Manifest? Hulu and Peacock have decided to cancel the show after the month of September 2021. Manifest will end after its upcoming fourth season. Until the end of the season, Jeff Rake will continue to serve as showrunner.

One or more of Robert Zemeckis, Jack Rapke, Jacqueline Levine, and Len Goldstein are overseeing the upcoming season. As a result, there will be no Manifest Season 5 trailer. It was a huge day for Manifest fans on August 28, 2022, when the first trailer for Season 4 was released. On September 24, Netflix released a longer trailer for the upcoming season.

Manifest Season 5 Cast

It’s no secret that after Season 5 of Manifest ended, none of the regular cast members will be returning for Season 6. Despite the fact that all of the original cast members have committed to returning for the final season of the show. Season 5 of Manifest will not have a cast. According to Deadline’s Nellie Andreeva, the actors’ contracts release them from further participation in the show after June 2021.

In September, most of the actors re-upped their contracts. Only the character who died in season 3 and the one who aged unexpectedly didn’t, though the latter has been glimpsed in deleted sequences. Previously recurring characters Daryl Edwards’ Vance and Garrett Wareing’s TJ have been promoted to series regular status. A much older actor than usual came at the end of Season 3 to portray the role of the character who had aged too rapidly.

Andreeva has promised “significant pay raises” for the rest of the ensemble in season four of Manifest, despite the loss of two players who were important in the show’s first three seasons. As reported by What’s On Netflix, the production of each episode of the most recent season cost between $4 and $5 million.

According to Netflix’s summary, the new cast members in Season 4 will play supporting roles at best. Characters we already know and love will cross paths with Kyle Boyd, another passenger on Flight 828. We also meet Henry Kim, Tela, and June, who were all on Flight 828 and all ended up getting jobs in Singapore after returning. The rumors also include the possible appearances of Captain Kevin Fahey and Detective Price. It’s unclear what “the Eden twins'” involvement will be in Season 4.

Manifest Season 5 Storyline

There is a lot of poor weather for Montego Air Flight 828 as it travels from Jamaica to New York City. All 191 people on board find out from NSA deputy director Robert Vance as their plane touches down at Stewart International Airport in Newburgh, New York that they were presumed dead for almost five and a half years.

As the plane lands, its occupants begin to reflect on how they and those close to them have evolved since their ordeal. In addition, they begin to receive messages from unseen sources and experience precognitive dreams. It’s called a “calling” when this happens. Seasons 1 and 2 were added to Netflix before Season 3 concluded, and both episodes immediately became wildly popular and climbed to the top of the US Netflix rankings.

Despite hopes from the audience, Netflix ultimately opted to cancel the show. However, Netflix has decided not to order a fifth season of Manifest. Instead, they aired the final season exclusively. This was after the show had been available on Netflix for two months and had already established new benchmarks in terms of streaming viewership. On November 4, 2022, production will begin on the series’ final season. Most of the regular cast is scheduled to return, and with 20 episodes, it’s almost twice as long as previous seasons.
