Canton Central Catholic High School is honouring a junior who was 16 years old and died in an automobile accident in Lucas County.

Police claim that a 2014 black Ford Fusion was travelling west on US-24 in Maumee, Ohio when it left the road and struck a tree.

Jacob Brown, 16, who was the driver, died in the collision. The accident’s cause is still being looked into.

Before the game, Brown and his family will be remembered. Attendees are asked to dress in white. There will be no pep rally on Thursday. The school system will organise a prayer service in its place.

“The news of Jacob’s passing has shocked our community, which is very sad. His death will be felt particularly by our Crusader family because Central Catholic is a tiny, close-knit community, according to headmaster David Oates. “We’ve told our families, the staff, and the students about his passing.

Any student, staff member, or family member who needs them can speak with and pray with our guidance counsellors, campus chaplain, and President Father Donald King. Please remember to pray for Jacob and his family.
