A Suspect Has Been Caught In What Seem To Be A Series Of Killings In Stockton.

The Stockton Police Department announced Saturday that they had apprehended a suspect in connection with six recent, unprovoked murders of men aged 21 to 54.

Wesley Brownlee, 43, was arrested for murder on Saturday, according to the Stockton Police Department. Around 2 o’clock on Saturday morning, police said, a surveillance team followed Brownlee’s car and stopped near the intersection of Village Green Drive and Winslow Avenue.

Our agents kept tabs on him as he drove around. This morning, after observing his routines, we were able to conclude that he was on a murderous mission. He had gone on a hunting expedition, “This is what Chief Stanley McFadden said at a press conference on Saturday.

Which McFadden further commented, “He was dressed in black and had a mask around his neck when police officers first made contact with him. He was arrested while also carrying a firearm. In all likelihood, we prevented another murder.”

According to the police, additional charges will most likely be filed against Brown on Tuesday, when he will be arraigned.

All of the deceased were recognised by the San Joaquin County Medical Examiner’s Office. On July 8 they killed Paul Yaw, 35; on August 11 they killed Salvador Debudey, 43; on August 30 they killed Jonathan Hernandez Rodriguez, 21; on September 21 they killed Juan Cruz, 52; and on September 27 they killed Lawrence Lopez Sr., 54.

All of the victims were men who were alone when they were shot to death, and the incidents occurred late at night or early in the morning, according to the police.

Authorities said earlier this month that a second shooting, of a Black woman, 46 years old, occurred at the intersection of Park Street and Union Street in Stockton at 3:20 a.m. on April 16, 2021. In spite of being shot multiple times, the woman reportedly made a full recovery.

The police have stated that they are unaware of a motive for the murders, but they do believe the deaths were premeditated.
