A fight that occurred outside of a club in Australia is where it is believed that former surfing sensation Chris Davidson received a blow to the face, which ultimately led to his death on Saturday. He was only 45 years old at the time.

After receiving complaints regarding an incident that took place at a tavern in South West Rocks at approximately 11 o’clock at night on Saturday, the authorities reportedly responded there. After receiving a blow to the head, the man who was eventually identified as Davidson is said to have fallen to the ground and banged his head.

When the authorities came, they reportedly discovered the man comatose and unable to respond. They say that he was taken to a hospital in the area, but that he passed away shortly after arriving there. According to the police, they have detained a male who is 42 years old in connection with the event.

Since then, he has been arrested and charged with murder by assault. Davidson’s rise to prominence in the sport began in the 1990s… and ultimately culminated with a world rating of 14 in 2010. Kelly Slater, a legendary surfer, expressed his sorrow over his passing in a message on his social media page, saying, “Another soldier was killed in yesterday’s attack. #RIPChrisDavo.”
