American Horror Story Season 11 Release Date Status: Cast, Plot, And More

In the meanwhile, fans of Ryan Murphy’s American Horror Story season 11 are breathlessly waiting for word of what he has in store for them. Honestly, who would have predicted that the program that introduced us to the world of cranks would still be running a decade later?

With this anthology series, we’re treated to the best (and worst) of the complex world of horror, as the crew has never been reluctant to change things up. However, the Death Valley half of Season 10 didn’t live up to expectations like American Horror Stories, Ryan Murphy’s hit-and-miss offshoot.

In the meantime, American Horror Story should not be written off just yet. There will be at least 13 more seasons of Murphy’s flagship series, which was extended for a staggering three more seasons by FX in January 2020.

For over a decade, American Horror Story was FX’s most popular show, and FX chairman John Landgraf claimed at the time that “Ryan and Brad are the uncontested kings of horror television.” Is there a new crossover shortly? If Jessica Lange returns to reprise one of her most outstanding roles at least once more on the big screen, the world would be a better place.

Everything we know so far about American Horror Story’s upcoming eleventh season is listed below.

American Horror Story Season 11 Storyline

When it comes to American Horror Story, this is the million-dollar question. As far as we can tell, there will be no more two-part seasons like in season 10. Instead, they plan to revert to a more familiar format for the upcoming American Horror Story Season 11. The story will be told in the present tense, with flashbacks providing background information.

This is what John Landgraf had to say to The Wrap: “Basically, I can tell you that the American Horror Story Season 11 concept is a single story. Even though it takes place in several different periods, it is still a single subject and a single story.” “I like this idea too, I think it’s cool,” he said later.

While this reveals nothing, it’s nothing new for the American Horror Story creative team, led by series creator Ryan Murphy, who is notoriously tight-lipped about the show’s themes. It wasn’t until late in the year 2021 that Murphy broke new ground by allowing fans to express their hopes and dreams for the future.

Among the themes, Murphy solicited feedback from his Twitter followers on were Aliens, Christmas Horror, Bloody Mary, Piggy Man, Sirens, and Plague, all of which have since been removed from the site. We don’t expect aliens to return anytime soon, as they were a major part of season 10. However, what about the following possibilities?

Ryan used the phrase “Expanding the Universe” in his original tweet, which suggests that this has nothing to do with American Horror Story Season 11. This is all we have to work with right now. The final two picks which proved to be the most popular were Sirens and Bloody Mary. Unlike in the past, Ryan did not divulge the winner or how the results will affect the upcoming season of American Horror Story: Coven.

American Horror Stories spin-off American Horror Stories season two is expected to premiere in July and will reportedly not include Bloody Mary. This leaves Sirens (the fabled beings who would draw sailors to their doom) open to the whims of the pirates themselves.

Fans’ speculation that American Horror Story would be set on Fire Island is strengthened if reports that the program is filming in New York City this summer are true (though no official confirmation has been provided).

In keeping with Ryan Murphy’s work, Fire Island is a well-known LGBTQ+ vacation and party destination. According to tradition, pirates would persuade men on board ships to sail near to sure for their ships and the pirates’ boats to collide, sinking both of them at the same time.

American Horror Story Season 11 Cast

Although AHS is technically an anthology series with new cast lineups every year, Murphy has his favorites, who comprise a loose set of Murphy-verse players. In the case of Evan Peters and Lily Rabe, who have appeared in all but one season of AHS, they are likely to be offered roles in American Horror Story Season 11.

Billie Lourd and Leslie Grossman are two of Murphy’s current favorite actresses. Then there are the special A-listers, like Kathy Bates and Emma Roberts, who Murphy invites back regularly, if not every year. A return for any or all of these actors would not be a surprise to fans. Sarah Paulson, on the other hand, does not appear to be part of the cast for the upcoming season.

Aside from AHS, Paulson has also appeared in American Crime Story, Ratched, and other Murphy productions, like Rabe and Peters. Even though she hasn’t signed a contract for American Horror Story Season 11, Paulson says in recent interviews that she doesn’t expect to be offered a role this time around.

American Horror Story Season 11 Release Date

Unfortunately, no date has been set for the return of American Horror Story as of June 2022. However, unlike many other series, there appears to be a good basis for determining when it will return to our televisions. It may be difficult to keep track of American Horror Story’s in-show timeline, but the show’s premiere dates on television have mostly been the same for the past decade.

For the first eight seasons of the show, each new episode aired in September or October, with the season’s terrifying (or occasionally just plain confusing) climax taking place right before the Christmas holiday. Although COVID-related delays prevented the show from airing in 2020, it will return in October 2021 with season 10.

We can probably expect American Horror Story Season 11 of American Horror Story to premiere in September or October of 2022, assuming nothing else goes wrong with the production. In the US, it’ll be on FX as usual and we imagine that it’ll air on Disney+ in the UK like season 10.
