The Gameplay trailer and showcase event of Destiny 2: The Witch Queen has unveiled plenty of information. 

Destiny 2 is a free online first-person shooter video game developed by Bungie and published by Activision. The game was paid for when it first premiered in 2017. However, Bungie acquired all the publishing right in 2019. In October 2019, Bungie adopted the games as a service model to promote the game, and it was then released on Stadia the next month for free. Later, the free version of the game premiered on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S in the same month.

After spoiling the plans of Hive war god Xivu Arath and defeating Oryx the Taken King, now Destiny 2’s next expansion, The Witch Queen has arrived with the new threat, Savathun.

Bungie Destiny 2 Witch Queen Release Date

Initially, Bungie has set the release date of 2021 for Destiny 2: The Witch Queen. But coronavirus halted the production of the game, and Bungie can not complete it by 2021. But, Bungie has finally given us the good news on August 24, 2021.

Destiny 2: The Witch Queen will now finally release on August 24, 2021.

The Cast

The trailer unveils the antagonist, Destiny 2: The Witch Queen, revealing the Savathun of the upcoming game.

She is the most notorious villain of the Destiny 2 campaign. Also known as the Witch Queen or Sathona, she is the Hive God and sister to Xivu Arath and Taken King. She is the longstanding villain of Destiny 2 and has operated behind the scenes. But, this time, the cunning demon is on the front. The players have to explore her kingdom, Throne World, fight with hives.

The Witch Queen is the fourth in the expansion of The Witch Queen. The showcase event showcased enthralling details about the gameplay campaign. Let’s see what The witch queen has for the fans.

Introduction of The First-person Melee Weapon! The Glaive!

Bungie has introduced a new weapon, Glaive, for combat. 

It is a first-person combat weapon. The players can forge it by using the crafting system. 

You’ll be able to craft more weapons like raid weapons with the help of a crafting system.

Addition of New Armor Sets And Cosmetics

Bungie is distributing gifts for its 30th anniversary. Curious to know? Bungie will give you a Destiny 2 gift pack that will include a Thorn-inspired armor set, Bungie-themed ornaments, a dungeon, cosmetic sets, and more.

Respawning will be difficult with Legendary Mode.

Bungie has introduced a new game playing more called “aspirational” mode where respawning will be restricted. The mode is dangerous where everyone will hit harder. You will have to put more effort but, Bungie announced that the rewards would be at par with effort.

Destiny’s exotic launcher is Coming Back.

Gjallarhorn, the legendary rocket launcher from the original Destiny, is not part of Destiny 2 yet. The Fans have been waiting for it. Finally, Bungie has repurchased it after so long. However, Bungie had not unveiled much about the process of acquiring it.  

The Final Shape Expansion

The 10-year fight between light and dark is coming to closure. Bungie has revealed after the Lightfall expansion; the Destiny will conclude its journey with the Final shape. Though the journey of destiny 2 will end, it does not mean the franchise will  

Trials Of Osiris 

Bungie has launched the anti-cheat system of the Battel eye. It will give PvP players the ultimate challenge once again in September in Trials of Osiris. The publisher has announced you can enter it in solo as well as multiplayer mode. There will be queuing Trials Of Osiris for solo. This time the players will have to focus on both completing and winning rounds. However, there are rumors that it will impact the performance of the players.

The Witch Queen will be available on  Xbox One, Stadia, Xbox Series X|S PS4, PS5, and PC to play. 

What are the available editions in Destiny 2: The Witch queen?

The upcoming expansion will be available in regular as well as deluxe editions. The deluxe edition will give you access to three more seasons, Seasons 16-19. 

You will get two more dungeons and other game items to explore with the edition. One more edition is available for the players who want a Physical extra. In Collector’s Edition, the player will get the duplicate Hive Ghost shell which they can display on their shelf.
